Hi, i've done an App that make use of Location Api and connecto to a server via sockets and send data, on the emulator everything went ok. it works.
I have seen that you must sign your app if you want to use restricted functionality from J2ME point of view on a celphone.
i've download the Nokia Dev Cert Request and create a certificate and a key for my app, since i have the cellphone i am going to use it, i enter the imei and both files were createde the csr and the key.
On netbeans, when you sign an app using the rigth click on the project you check the sign distribution checkbox to select wich keystore and alias is going to be use in the signing process.
Now the question that is killing me, how do you use the developer key and certificate into a keystore in netbeans?
or if thats not what you have to do, what to do then?
there is a built in keystore, when you use that keystore to sign the app, and try to install it on the phone it says Certificate Error and cant be installed.
The phone i use is the Nokia 6110 Navigator, i change the applications settings to accept all kind of app, not only signed, and web validation to false.
Everything seems ok, but Netbeans dont sign the app.
if someone has done it please write it, ok, i know theres a lot more like me strugglin with this.
