Red face Problem with installation of .SIS file into Real Device

    Hi,

I created a .sis file and installed in my devive without facing any
problem in installation.I got icon in main menu list.

After that so experiments with that sis file using fallowing commands...
    CLEAN
    FINAL
    TIDY
    TARGET
    After my experiments....
i found that my sis file is going to install but not displaying any icon in my main menu.
Is there any mistake that have done by doing all these experiments.

Pls let me know as i need to get that same sis file..

    -Regards,
    Pavan

ok, then check that you have the files going inthe folder under apps directory, and it has same name as the aif & app & resource file (folder name without the extension of course, and other files just different by their extension), and check that you have defined UID excatly the same in all required places.

In case of S60 2nd edition, .exe files cannot have an icon in the menu. They can be executed via file managers (however the built-one will not succeed as I remember), or you can create/generate a simple GUI application for starting the .exe (search for launch in the Wiki).
An other possibility is using the FR (FileRun) attribute in the .pkg file, thus your code will automatically start on install.

    Thanks for your replay.

But when installed first time i got icon.

and regarding FR i have already included it in my .pkg file.
