    Hide running application in FP1

    Hi
    I would like to hide running application from application list.
    I hide it from task manager and I send it to background.
    It's enought for 9.1 MR and older.
    In symbian FP1 we had new identification(circle) next application icon.
    Is it posible to hide this circle?

    Thx

    It isn't working in emulator. :(

    // Send App to BackGround
    TApaTask task(iEikonEnv->WsSession( ));
    task.SetWgId(CEikonEnv::Static()->RootWin().Identifier());
    task.SendToBackground();

    // Hide
    TInt wgId= iEikonEnv->RootWin().Identifier();
    CApaWindowGroupName* wgName = CApaWindowGroupName::NewLC(iEikonEnv->WsSession(), wgId);
    wgName->SetHidden(ETrue);
    wgName->SetWindowGroupName(iEikonEnv->RootWin());
    CleanupStack::PopAndDestroy();

    It's hide application from task manager but circle around application icon is still there
    Any idea?

    I don't want to make two applications(client/server)
    Hide application is much more easy and it will do the same.

    This hideing stuff work with build in phone book application.
    I want it too :)

    Any idea?

    Appears to be so, anyway figuring out might require looking into its implementations, which would mean that you would need to contact paid technical support.

    And you forgot to answer, why this functionality would be so important to you ?

    So personally I am a bit surprised that HideApplicationFromFSW is new to you.
    Since FSW (Fast-Swap Window) is the "Task Manger".

    But it is :)
    I search for FSW in SDK and class CAknAppUi is first when you can find this phrase.
    It is not very often used phrase. :)

    thx
