    Read text from display

    Hi,

I want to develop an application which is running in background mode (no GUI required).
My program should react and call a subroutine if the display text is changed by an other application and then my program should read the new text from the display.
    Example:
You switch on your phone - my program will be started automatically in background (with no program window).
Now you start an other application, f.e. the file manager of Nokia phone.
My program should now be notified and read the text which is displayed by the file manager (all filenames in this case).

How can I realize this process?

    Thanks for help!

    Greetz, Kay

    Re: Read text from display

This is not possible with the currently available Java ME API's. May be you should try with Symbian C++.
