    "SIM Data Download" supported by Nokia phones?

    I tried to send a "SIM Data download" to my STK applet by NowSMS,
    but I always got the "Bad&String" in my Nokia N80 inbox,
    Does Nokia N80 not support such function of "SIM Data download"?
    or problem is from Java card?
    I have tried several different way to send out the data,
    sometimes, got nothing, sometimes "Unable to open. Message format not supported" ....

    Does anyone has same experience with me?
    Please give some hint with it,
    I'm very appreciated.

    Yes, SIM data download is supported on the Nokia N80. My network operator has used it many times to mine.

    I think your DCS value should be F6 rather than 16.

    Hello Sorcery,

    Thanks for your reply,
    I don't know how to say THANKS to you,
    I have tried to change DCS to F6,
    but I still get "Bad&String" in my Nokia N80???

    Did I need to get the permission from my network operator to send such "SIM Data download" SMS?

    If possible, could you give me simple example what did you send or receive data?

    I'm very appreciated with your kindness.

    Best Regards,
    Amanda

    Re: "SIM Data Download" supported by Nokia phones?

    The 3GPP spec 23.048 defines the format for SIM OTA messages.

    The following fields can be decoded:
    SPI = 06 00 = no counter, ciphered message with cryptographic checksum
    KiC = 15 = keyset 1, Triple DES in outer-CBC using 2 keys
    KID = 15 = = keyset 1, Triple DES in outer-CBC using 2 keys

    You must know the KiC to decode the rest of the message (or crack triple DES). In general, only the SIM card manufacturer and the network operator will know this value.

    hi,

    How Keysets are arranged in SIM. What will be the file name of Keys. If Keyset value is 1 means which file applet should consider.

    Where the keysets are saved on SIM
