    Autostart

    Hi,

I created a simple test app and used Ensymble to create a sis file that auto starts on power-up. I did:

    Code:
    V:\epoc32\winscw\c\python>python ensymble_python.py py2sis --uid=0xf1111111 --ap
    pname="MyApp"  --shortcaption="My App." --caption="My Application" --version=1.3
    .3 --autostart --verbose sensor.py
ensymble_python.py: warning: no certificate given, using insecure built-in one

    Input file(s) sensor.py
    Output SIS file sensor_v1_3_3.sis
    UID 0xf1111111
    Application name MyApp
    Version 1.3.3
    Language(s) EN
    Icon <default>
    Short caption(s) My App.
    Long caption(s) My Application
    Install drive <any>
    Text file(s) <none>
    Certificate <default>
    Private key <default>
    Capabilities 0x0 (NONE)
    Vendor name(s) Ensymble
    Autostart on boot Yes
    Run after install No
Nothing starts up when I power up my phone. Did I misunderstand the Autostart on boot feature?

    From the Ensymble README:

Note: Self-signed applications and applications with UID in the unprotected range cannot register to be automatically started (see options "--uid" and "--cert" above).
UID 0xf1111111 is in the unprotected range and you are using the default self-signed certificate. Either one of these issues will prevent automatic startup.
