    Re: after ensemble app crashes

    Hi jasques and welcome to the Python Discussion Board.

    Read this article. After that, try the "exception harness" mentioned there. That should display whatever errors you should be getting when running the app as a script.

    If that doesn't work, you could try a more rudimentary approach: Method 1 from the same article, but write the messages in a file:
    Code:
    import codecs

    f=codecs.open("C:\\log.txt", "w", "utf_8")
    f.write(text goes here)
    f.close()

    I'll try it now but my problem is more related to building sis file. This program when run from python 'run script' works preatty well but after making sis it shutdown momentary after execution.

    This is usually import error. Try "aural debugging technique":

    Code:
    import audio # very first line of default.py
    audio.say("importing appuifw")
    import appuifw
    audio.say("Importing custom module")
    import mymodule
    audio.say("Import done")

    def run():
        audio.say("Running")

    run()

    Sometimes this happens when python and script are on different disk drives. Try to install your script on same disk, where you have installed python.
