    debug variable value...

    Hello Everyone,

    Up to 2nd edition Fp2, In .Net Environment while we debug application we can show value of variable in tool tip but In 2nd Fp3 and 3rd Edition we can't show value, Instead of that it shows hex value(address).

    As there any setting is require to see value?

    I don't know too much about .Net, but maybe you could consider migrating to the Carbide, it should work well and has propably the best future support as well.

    This is more dependent on the IDE settings, hence its in an inappropriate forum to say the least.

    The required feature that you are looking for works very well in carbide, although I have a word of caution for you that if you are using 2nd FP3 and 3rd ed, then carbide 1.2 is supported better. I understand that Carbide 1.3 concentrates more on 3rd edition.

    Is there any document which gives difference between .net and carbide?

    I dont know if there is any single document showing these differences, but carbide has quite a few documents/whitepapers/screencasts, all available here

    I have no more idea about Carbide. How to show variable value at debug time in carbide? As i told that we can see variable value in .net in tool tip.

    Re: debug variable value...

    For me tool tip only displays the definition of the variable
    example: CDesCArrayFlat* resultArray = new (ELeave)CDesC16ArrayFlat(KArrayGranularity);
    when I hover my mouse to "return resultArray"
    can anyone tell me how can I check the value of resultArray or any variable during runtime debug

    Variable definition in the tooltip changes to variable contents after the given line has been executed.
