    Fetching Location string

    Hi all,
I am using a N72 phone(S60 2nd edition). In my phone i observe the Service provider Logo with my current location displayed in screen. I want to know whether i can write a symbian c++ application (for 2nd edition phones)to fetch the current location string of my mobile phone and display it. I went through the following link
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...evice_position

But i dont find CPosLandmarkDatabase available for 2nd edition phones. Then how can i display my location information on screen.

    thanks and regards,
    Krishna.

that page descripes LSB API usage, which has nothing to do with the cell id string really. Anyway, have you searched NewLC already ?

If I remember right they had something for 2nd edition on that particular stuff.

    Hello Yucca sir,

I want to know that classes mentioned here .. http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...evice_position
CPosLandmarkDatabase,CPosLandmark,etc.. will provide position info such as location string?
    Or some other relative position?

    Regards,
    Kavit.

    Hi,
I Checked the Mission-Impossible code that prints the Location String (from CBM), which is what i need. I am using the S60 2nd edition fp3. Here the header etelmm.h does not have RMobileBroadcastMessaging class. Can anyone tell me from where i can get the appropriate header and library for this class for my SDK??. I tried on net but couldn't locate it.

    thanks and regards,
    Krishna

    Hi,

have you searched in forum (just use keywords RMobileBroadcastMessaging or etelmm.h), you will find number of

    Hi,
I have found links stating that RMobileBroadcastMessaging header and library is available if we are a licensee or partner of symbian
