    related to RWindowGroup

    As far as i know, the AVKON framework is written using RWindowGroup and RWindow. Then can we get default RWindowGroup and RWindow object being used in a basic GUI application like Hello World ? I want to find the Identifier of the RWindowGroup being used in a normal GUI application. Please show some help.

    You could maybe check what functions Appui Classes provide, anyway CCoeControl class has Window() function.

    Also you check check Eikon environment variables functions, at least ypou can get RwSession with it, and that API propably can help you on getting the ID.

    Actually... GetWindowGroupNameFromIdentifier function of RWsSession needs the Identifier of RWindowGroup. I also need that. Now how do i get that Identifier in a GUI application ?

    If you ask a question, and get two responses, feel free to read both of them.

    Re: related to RWindowGroup

    Ofcourse i had done that but was not able to understand the first response. Some new people might take time to get it understood. But then i could find one function...
    CEikonEnv::Static()->WsSession().FindWindowGroupIdentifier(0,app.ThreadId())
    may be i had skipped this.

    Re: related to RWindowGroup

    - Open the SDK Help on CCoeControl
    - scroll a bit, and click on Window (though DrawableWindow is safer, and it does not need the scrolling)
    - Click on RWindow (in the "return value" box)
    - if your display is configured for 1280x1024 and you have a single-line taskbar, simply check the very last word (in the bottom right corner) appearing on the page
    -- with other configuration, check the very last method mentioned in the Members section.
