    Load Images like google maps

    Hello,

I have to build an app that displays a point of interest (GPS location) on an map. The problem is, that the map is to large to be loaded, so I have to slice the image into several parts.
How can I load then a set of this sliced images onto my screen?

If you're using your own images, you can setup appropriate server side scripts to resize/crop your images according to device resolution (that you can pass to server as request argument).

I think thats not what he meant...
he just said u can use ur own server inbetween ur mobile app (midlet) and the Google Mpas server. Ur own server will be responsible to execute crops/resizes/any other algorithms that may be needed and the results of those will be returned to ur mobile app...
The images can be returned directly to ur app without the need of the onboard-browser...
