A very simple way to unlock your phone

After having some issue on settings my phone GRPS parameters I give you a simple solution according to me.

Important !!! You need to buy the right to access GPRS to your mobile operator. It may be in your Plan

    ---------

    -Go to http://www.nokia.com/

    -Select your country.

    -Then choose Get Settings.
    -(Choose Get Settings again maybe)

-Go to Step 1 : Get standard settings
    -A pop-up opens.
    -Accepts terms .
-Select your phone model (here 6131).
-Select WAP/GPRS and then Internet (more if you want but these two seems to be necessary)

    -Select your country.
    -Select your Network operator.
-Then insert the security code, and your mobile phone number.
    Click on Order Settings.
You'll receive the settings by SMS .

THE SERVICE IS FREE OF CHARGE !!!!!
    Thanks to Nokia
    ----------------------

Maybe you'll need to select manually your default access point after that but it's not difficult.

    ----------------------

Now download the Unlock Service Midlet. It will be easy to unlock the SE. You won't have the "No server connection" error

I hope I'll help some people

Getting the settings from Nokia's support pages has nothing to do with unlocking the phone.

I'm not really sure what is the point you are reall trying to make.

Access point settings are access point settings that impact packet data connectivity/routing through the network operator's network and to other networks (including the "regular" Internet).

They have nothing to do with devices locked/restricted to a specific network operator's SIM cards (SIM-locking).

And in general, one operator's access point settings are only useful, if you are using that operator's SIM card.

Also, I don't know what you refer to with "Unlock Service Midlet". A MIDlet cannot remove a SIM-lock (unlock a phone restricted to a specific operator's SIM cards).

Re: A very simple way to unlock your phone

Here your are in the Near Field Communication (NFC) forum.

NFC uses a Secure Element embedded on the motherboard of the cellphone or in a memory card or on the sim card. (have a look at :
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/NFC
    http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n...nlock.zip.html)

For the first case Nokia gives a MIDLET that allows to break the security of the Secure Element. But for that you need a GPRS access point (remote server connection for calculation of the ISD and other keys).
But unfortunately it is nos always set up when you buy the phone.

As I had issue with that I decided to offer my help for people who can encounter some problems with setting the GPRS Access Point.

There is nothing to do with SIM (un)locking

Just a note that remember to order (or configure) internet/web settings. WAP settings do not work.

You can add your access point manually. (in the settings menue you can choose configuration and afterwards under your own settings you can add a specific access point).

afterwards you just have to find out what the configuration for your provider are.

    hope that helps

Re: A very simple way to unlock your phone

    Hello,

The service we used for unlock the secure element is Nokia NFC Unlock Service MIDlet but, it never ends because appear the following messages:

"The process of unlocking the secure element was not completed". "Source HTTP Post Failed".

We think that is the connection to the 3G (or GPRS) and we try this:

    Preferred access point: internet.comcel.com.co
"internet" settings from Comcel MMS: Single-shot WEB Comcel 3GSM.

Also we try that with Movistar that is annother 3G Colombia provider.

Could someone please help me with this troubles?
