list of API 256 devices needed

    Hi,

unfortunately I can only see the option to check every single handset if Sensor API is supported or not, where is the link to a complete device list with supported APIs?

    thanx,
    ingo

For Nokia devices, I suspect that the complete list of such devices is:

    [this space left intentionally blank]

And if the above list is not making you happy, then you can try the advanced search feature for Nokia device specifications (a very intimidating form, I have to say) on the device specfication page:

    http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/matrix_all_1.html

Click on "Search by feature >>" on that page, right under "Devices filtered by".

For non-Nokia devices, check what the manufacturers of those devices have on their web sites.

No Nokia phones yet support JSR-256.
I know Sony Ericsson's JP-8 platform phones support it.

Unfortunately you didn´t send the link for the matrix -> [this space left intentionally blank]

Can you send again because the device selection and filter option doesn´t help me as you cannot filter by APIs. Thanx!!

I had a meeting with Nokia and they said they support API 256 now. Maybe they were talking about prototypes :-(

    Hmmm..

I double checked and no S60 nor Series 40 devices with that API. There was a demonstration of JSR-256 in JavaOne 2006 with a prototype implementation on Nokia 5500, but that was just an demo.

I would be interested to know more about the discussions you had with Nokia people. Could you please contact me through my screen name?

That was intentional. That is the complete list. I.e., the list is an empty/null list without any items (= no such devices).
