Unhappy How to import .pyd file on emulator

    SOME BODY HELP ME ?
I had a uitricks.pyd ,and I tried by copying the uitricks.pyd files to \Epoc32\release\wins\udeb\z\system\libs.But I get an error as no module found when I import uitricks.
Can anyone explain me how I could make it working on my emulator.
My emulator is for 2nd edition.
The uitricks.pyd can work on my phone(3230).

    Thank you.

So if you have a 2nd edition SDK all you need to do is to copy your PYD module compiled for emulator in you_sdk_path\epoc32\release\wins\udeb folder.

Just copy your PYD file to \epoc32\release\wins\udeb folder.

Thats how you install extensions on 2nd Edition SDK.

Re: How to import .pyd file on emulator

I had copied my PYD file to C:\symbian\7.0s\Series60_v20\Epoc32\release\wins\udeb folder,so the pyd file path is "C:\symbian\7.0s\Series60_v20\Epoc32\release\wins\udeb\uitricks.pyd".

But it's not work. It said :
    SymbianError:[Errno -1]
    KErrNotFound

    What should I do ?

    Hi Whirlwind James

I saw this post here as mentioned by bogdan

    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ad.php?t=91652

    Hi,

So first of all you have to remember (or know) that PYD for the phone won't be compatible on the emulator. So you need to get or compile the PYD for the emulator.

Second point, if you are using 3rd edition SDK you'll have to wait for a while. Check this out:
    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ad.php?t=89557

So finally if you have a 2nd edition SDK all you need to do is to copy your PYD module compiled for emulator in you_sdk_path\epoc32\release\wins\udeb folder

    LFD
i hope that you have compiled the .pyd, if not then here is something you can look at especially third post by cyke64

    http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=100116

if this doesn't help you out please make a post here maybe some expert will help you.
IDEAS is all they need but still they think only Genius can give them that.
