    Question about phonebook, sms, mms,email

    Hi,

    Which file does symbian save phonebook, sms, mms email into? Could I copy these files out to backup phonebook, sms, mms,email?

    My App is S60_3rd and have AllFiles CAPABILITY.

    then you could go and check the private folders for changes when you are handling the SMS etc. with their applciations.

    Thank symbianyucca for your idea, but it's better if you could just tell me which file, somehow, I'm not sure if symbian save these information as file format

    contacts are store in "DBS_100065FF_Contacts.cdb"
    calender entries are stored in "\10003a5b\Calendar"
    for email "\1000484b\\Mail2\"
    for MMS "C:\mmsin" ,"C:\mmsout"
    for SMS "C:\smsin" ,"C:\smsout"

    Those are SMS/MMS emulation-related folders, so they have no use on the target device.

    Zhangwei_Nirvana: the file format is proprietary, you may consider using the C++ API-s instead of raw binary access. They are far easier to use than reverse engineering the files.

    Those are SMS/MMS emulation-related folders, so they have no use on the target device.

    Thanx Hu to aware me by these things.i never used "ALL files",so i think they will be there..
