Apologies for my ignorance. Would you please describe more about your problem!!! What do you want to do exactly?

    Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear enough...

I would like to change to default application the phone uses to open a certain file type. For example: make mp3 files open in Coreplayer instead of in the regular music player. Y-Tasks (http://www.drjukka.com/YTasks.html) can do this with the with the File types and Main server plug-ins but you have to sign it yourself.

    Thanks,
    Nadav

    Re: Changing file type mappings

You are posting the wrong question in the wrong forum.

The real question is: how to do it, what API to use? Once you know that then you know what capabilities are needed and thus what are the requirements for signing are.

To answer this question I suggest that you do a bit of searching in the documentation and on these forums, if you cannot find it then General Symbian C++ forum is more appropriate for your questions.

As for the Y-Tasks I am disappointed to see that it is still distributed in unsigned version but well, that's life.
