    not working in device

    In constructor
    Code:

    //Capture end (red) key pressed
    RWindowGroup& groupWin = CCoeEnv::Static()->RootWin();
    iEndKey1 = groupWin.CaptureKeyUpAndDowns( EStdKeyNo, 0, 0 );
    iEndKey2 = groupWin.CaptureKey( EKeyNo, 0, 0 );

    Destructor
    Code:

    // Cancel the capture
    RWindowGroup& groupWin = CCoeEnv::Static()->RootWin();
    groupWin.CancelCaptureKeyUpAndDowns( iEndKey1 );
    groupWin.CancelCaptureKey( iEndKey2 );

    HandleWsEventL of AppUi
    Code:

    TInt key = aEvent.Key()->iScanCode;
    if(EStdKeyNo == key && aEvent.Type() == EEventKeyDown)
    {
    //Do something to handle end key pressed
    }
    else
    {
    HandleCommandL( EEikCmdExit ); }

    i executed this code successfully in emulator.
    but i tested in Nokia n82,but it's not working.
    so, can u tell me wht modifications i have to do.
    thank u

    Re: not working in device

    Symbian OS 9.x has adopted a capability model. Installed software will theoretically be unable to do damaging things (such as costing the user money by sending network data) without being digitally signed – thus making it traceable

    U r simulating a key press( event) in ur app. So u need to intimate the installer tht ur app uses the SwEvent capability (by adding it in mmp file). U then need to get it symbian signed.

    Yes, you did.
    still facing the same problem
    Yes you are.

    Kulvijay is trying to hint you that SwEvent capability will not work with self-signing. So you have to use http://www.symbiansigned.com. Do not miss "The Complete Guide To Symbian Signed" just on the starting page.

    Re: not working in device

    Seems you failed to add SwEvent capability to your exe,
    Otherwise you wouldnot be able to install it to your device with a selfsigned package.
    Better CLEAN and rebuild you project after making some kinds of changes(capability,stack/heap size etc.) to you MMP file.
    Carbide C++ dont handle it well,hope next version can be improved
