    Question wants "BACK" instead "CANCLE"???

    hi ,
    In my application when i go from one window to another
    the left option is "OK" and right selection key is "CANCLE" by default.if i am using appuifw.query(u"Do you want to proceed?","query")
    if i press "OK" it goes for next command and for cancle also it gives same output as "OK"..
    How could i handle that right selection key/??? is
    appuifw.app.exit_key_handler to be used here??
    if yes how??

    Actually i want"BACK" instead "cancle" and it should move to previous window after pressing "BACK".

    thanks in advance

    I guess you will have to work on a native extension in C++ that would allow this.

    If I want such a functionality, I have BACK in the Selection list itself and then trigger the previous function to go back.

    May be you could use the same.

    Re: wants "BACK" instead "CANCLE"???

    Here's my take on things:
    1) Use appuifw.app.exit_key_handler to assign a function that will display the previous screen to the right softkey
    Code:
    def f():canvas.clear()

    appuifw.app.exit_key_handler=f

    #For example, write something on the screen
    canvas.text((20,20), u"Text", font="title")

    #Now if you press the right softkey, you'll be "returned" to the previous screen, which was blank.
    #That's because you assigned the function that shows the previous screen to the right softkey
    2) You could use uikludges to set the softkey's label to "Back", or whatever you want.

    Re: wants "BACK" instead "CANCLE"???

    hi i have downloaded sis but my mobile is giving message "file is corrupted."
    second thing, in your example,

    def f():canvas.clear()

    appuifw.app.exit_key_handler=f

    #For example, write something on the screen
    canvas.text((20,20), u"Text", font="title")
    By defining exit_key_handler=back screen as you have done my program will not have the facility to go forward if i don't want to go back????
    When you use mobile you have options MESSAGES>INBOX>READ or go back through it READ>INBOX>MESSAGES i want the same.
    In that how Exit key get converted to BACK????

    bogdan.galiceanu gave you a good answer, it should work. I don't think you're going to get any ready-to-use code, so better start experimenting yourself.

    I don't think Tkinter is going to help here, but it was a good question. Please continue.
