Wink Re: N95 8g NAM - FL3 in firmware - Network selection crash not patched?

    Hey Guys,

It looks like the latest E71 SW solves this issue as well. Stay tuned!

    Hi All,

This is not an Adobe issue, as you discovered this is likely a localization issue in the NAM language pack. I confirmed this on my own E71 NAM.

The good news is that the E71 NAM device is supported with our new Distributable Player project using Flash Lite 3.1.

    Hi guys
Just to let you know I just experienced same problem on a NAM Nokia N76 after upgrading to firmware 31.0.14. My FL app that previously was working fine under FL 2.0 firmware 20.x.x., stopped working, and now only works if I switch phone to another language. So the problem goes beyond this model(N95 8 GB)

Re: N95 8g NAM - FL3 in firmware - Network selection crash not patched?

    Hello,

I have an E71 that I'm having the same exact problem with. The software version is 100.07.76, RM-357, the latest version of the firmware according to Nokia. I tried calling their tech support and their resolution for me was to join the forums and see if I could find a solution here. I've tried switching the language to Spanish, and like the other posters here, found that it worked famously that way. Unfortunately, we're trying to get one of our products out the door, and one of the requirements for that is to get it working on this phone (in English). Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated, and I'm willing to test and try things out. Thanks guys!

    Hi

There are three options for you to try:

    1. Firmware upgrade, try checking the Nokia Software Update tool to see if a fix has been applied. Remember however that you cannot go back to the prior version so you may need to two devices.

    2. If the English version of this application is for use in the US then see my above post. With the Flash Lite Distributable Player this issue does not exist.

    3. I am not sure where the localisation problem exists, and therefore it may be possible to use a tool like SWFPack to work around the UI strings. This tool like the Adobe Mobile Packager can use the Flash Lite library directly and could help you avoid the missing UI strings.
