I'm new to phyton and i dont know much about it, until now. I've just started reading all the examples and getting behind it.

What i like to do is to simplify the camera handling of a nokia device. For example I want to control the camera flash by pressing a button, say "7" . By pressing "7" = it should switch flash to auto/on/red eye/off. By pressing "4" switch to auto/night/backlight mode.

I found a file called camera.py:

...
flashmap={'none':_camera.EFlashNone,
'auto':_camera.EFlashAuto,
'forced':_camera.EFlashForced,
'fill_in':_camera.EFlashFillIn,
'red_eye_reduce':_camera.EFlashRedEyeReduce}
...

Is it possible to edit the camera.py and add some commands like:

canvas.bind(key_codes.EKey7,"none")

to switch through the flash modes?

Does this work? If not, how can this be done?

Would be really nice if someone could help me with that!!
