    Security restrictions in MenuItem?

    So I'm trying to do a test where I use widget.openURL() to launch the user's text messaging program, e.g.

    function sendSMS() {
    widget.openURL("sms:+123456789");
    }

    This function works when rendered on a page, e.g.

    <a href=# onClick="sendSMS()">send SMS</a>
    or
    <a href="sms:+123456789">send SMS</a>

    However, when I try to call the same javascript function from a MenuItem, it doesn't work. I'm also starting to see the same issues around widget.openApplication() as well.

    Are there any security restrictions around what can be called from within a MenuItem?

    Re: Security restrictions in MenuItem?

    Can you post the code that calls the function from a MenuItem?
