    how we can destroy the object

    i suppose i created a object
    CExample example =new(ELeave) CExample();
    now how can i destroy this example object

    First of all CExample *example = new(ELeave) CExample();
    and to destroy it
    delete example;

    yah i tried this
    actually i created a object for the splashscreen using the following class.

    after that i triede to destroy tht object to cancel the splashscreen.
    i used delete screen;
    but still slashscreen is there

    could you show us your code ?

    Have you tried it on the emulator to see whether you have leaves in there that prevent some parts of the code to be run.

    i derived one class from CAknView
    in tht class i have NewL,NewLc when i execute the code
    iam getting the following
    illegal use of abstract class ('CAknView::Id() const')
    wht is this error ,how can i solve this

    You should implement Id() function and that return your ViewID (TUid)

    Have you actually implemented those methods, or you have just put them there in order to eliminate the compilation problems?
