    Buttons

    Hi,

I need to show/use buttons in my application, something similar to buttons shown in the calculator application available in the S60 SDK emulator (Organizer->Calculator). Any idea how these were implemented ?

    Re: Buttons

Those buttons are custom controls, drawn by application code. S60 supports no button control.

    Howdy dude,

    Thanks for the quick response.
Where can I get a bit of help on creating custom controls drawn by application code?

    Re: Buttons

one easy way is to draw pictures into the screen, and have two bitmaps for each picture (one shown when it is selected, and one when not), and you could also have click event images (you'll get down, key& Up -events for each key press).

Just handle the focus change with arrows and clicking with middle button for exmaple.

    Thanks all,

Symbianyucca's solution seem a bit easier, but I have no clue as to how to proceed further. A bit of help from you would be wonderful.
