The SDKs & Tools on Windows Vista. How? (or Am I Legend?)

Here comes a totally unofficial survey, based on my recent experience with Windows Vista and the things I've seen discussed on the forum about it.

As I blogged about it already, for me it works like a charm, no hack needed whatsoever.

For others ... well, there's a wiki page full of hacks and I wonder if that story is yet over.

So, am I the only one that has a good experience with Vista?

Please comment about your experience too and most importantly, if you have some more hacks that worked for you remember to add them to the wiki.

Kiran, I don't see your vote on the wiki type answer? Have you actually abandoned the idea?

Of course not. I really decided to vote in it and give some comments after reaching at home. But now i have to write it right now. :)

I would have certainly gone with the steps you provided in your blog. But it was lately published. Apparently I have gone with Wiki article already a long time ago. But if i have to configure a new machine then, of course, i would go with the steps provided in your blog.

    Cheers,
    Kiran.

The problems seems to be that unfortunately even replicating those steps it is not guaranteed to work. Or so I am told.

But one should at least start from your set example on blog. If you are claiming that you have made it in one shot then one who works first time with Windows Vista should first try with your steps, in the order you described. Even if s/he fails then you are legend. ;)

By the way i have just updated Wiki article with respect to debug problem on Vista with Carbide.c++.
