    N73 audio problem

    Hi,

    I'm facing a problem with N73 that in my application i hav to play video.For that i'm using Player api and creating player and instatiating videocontrol the volume controlling:

    player = Manager.createPlayer(is,"video/3gpp");
    player.realize();
    vc=(VideoControl)(player.getControl("VideoControl"));
    volc=(VolumeControl)(player.getControl("VolumeControl"));

    if(volc!=null)
    volc.setLevel(100);

    By using above code i'm able to play video and audio in SonyErricson w810.But in the case of N73 the whole thing is fine ..the video is plying but the audio to that video is not audible.I tested the same with Fp2 devices it is working fine .

    pls some could help me how to get audio in N73 by using the same API.

    thanks,
    karthik

    Hi kamalakshan,

    Thanks for ur replay.I tried with both video(3gpp) and audio(amr) files which are worked on Fp2 mobiles.But the same apps on this N73 behaving differently for the both files the audio is not coming.for video the video is playing with out any sound.

    I tried the same 3gp file with mobile realplayer wch worked fine and with the j2me application on Fp2 device is also fine.
    The problem with the 3rd edition device(N73) the video is plying with out audio .
    while playing the video i checked the audio level wch is setted to max.And it is unmuted.

    Re: N73 audio problem

    hi,

    Since its a .3gp file format try playing it with real player as it supports this format. If still the sound does not come then the problem might be with video. If sound comes properly then with the code.

    If thats the case then would require more hint on how you have implemented the code

    Exclamation Re: N73 audio problem

    Hi,

    I checked the 3gp with the player as u said,the audio is comming.means here the code is problem.But the same code is working on FP2 devices(tested in 6600,6630).I'm getting this audio problem with only 3rd editions(tested with N73).

    Following code snippets implemented this one:

    InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream("test.3gp");
    player = Manager.createPlayer(is,"video/3gpp");
    player.addPlayerListener(this);
    player.realize();
    vc = (VideoControl)(player.getControl("VideoControl"));

    if(vc!=null){
    vc.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO,this);

    vc.setDisplayLocation(0,0);

    vc.setVisible(true);

    }

    volc = (VolumeControl)(player.getControl("VolumeControl"));
    if(volc!=null)
    volc.setLevel(100);

    player.start();

    Here the problem is same code supports FP2 devices butnot supporting for 3rd editions.
