    protocol

    I want links about specifying basic protocols well. Im making multiplayer game and need to specify the communication between server and client and would like to do some reading before since i suspect a poor soloution will haunt me. XML comes to mind but pressed for space and dont want to force my users to install parser. Many thanks for any information/idea/links.

    example to server: shoot [myId] [targetId] [weaponused]
    example from server: youvebeenshot [shooterId] [shooterWeapon] [current hitpoints]

    You might not find very much related to making mobile games, but a couple of web sites that contain excellent information are:

    www.gamasutra.com (just noticed they have a wireless games feature at the moment)
    www.flipcode.com (not much mobile here but some network game articles).
