    Transparency support on emulator supported?

    Hi,
I have a question about the "Series 60 concept SDK"- emulator.

I used following method of interface DirectGraphics:
    "g2.fillPolygon(new int[] {16,158,158,16},0 , new int[] {y,y,208,208}, 0, 4, 0x559999FF);"

The created rectangle is not been shown transparent on the emulator, the rectangle is fully opaque.

Is this an emulator only problem, or wont it work on the real 7650 device, too?

RE: Transparency support on emulator supported?

Why does nobody answer to this easy question?
I would think, that it should be easy to answer to this.

Somebody should have tried this transparency thing before?

So please answer to it, it is a "Yes - No - Question".
    Thanks very much

RE: Transparency support on emulator supported?

    Hello,

If I remember correctly, in our Java implementations where transparency is supported at all, the first byte of ARGB defines the "opaqueness" of the color, where the only possible values are 00 for transparent and any other value for opaque.

If you draw a fully transparent filled polygon, then that polygon is not visible at all! It's better to use an image which has one color transparent.
