    Re: File html

    Hello

If what you need is to read a File stored in the phone, then you need the JSR75 optional package

    JSR 75 - wiki

If what you need is to make a simple request and process the content returned by a web server in the format of a HTML page... then you need to use the interface HTTPConnection

    Networking in J2ME - wiki

If you point directly to a HTLM page, the response will contain the whole Html page.

Please tell us if this is what you need, otherwise give us more details about it.

    Re: File html

    Small addition to Ruben's answer.

Can I read an html file?
    Yes.

Can I render an html page on the screen in my MIDlet.
    In practise, No.
In theory, Yes, BUT you would need to implement all the html parsing and displaying the contents your self.

Can I ask the phone browser to display an html file?
Yes, you can ask the browser to display a file from a Web server using platformRequest().

Use FileConnection API as Ruben instructed (check the Wiki link)
