[moved] How to create a icon for the j2me application.

    Hi all,

I have developed j2me application using S60 3rd edition FP2. I want to create a icon for that application.
I have searched in the wiki, in that i found some terms application UID , registration file ,which i am not able understand how to find that application UID and how to write the registration file and where to save it.

please anyone tell me the way to create the icon for my application.

    Thanks and regards,

    Changeme123,

Just create a png icon like suggested in the thread linked by ypele. The UID is not needed for the icon to be visible... so do not worry about it

    Hi,
If you are saying about midlet icon. Then entry in the jad should be made.Eg:

    MIDlet-1: sample, /images/sample.png, sample.sampleMIDlet

    Thanks

as wang_shui noted a entry in the JAD/manifest contains the information where the application management system can find the icon. The other step you need to do is add the icon file in the JAR

(usually the IDEs take care of this automatically - adding the JAD entry and adding the file in JAR - after you define which file you want to use as an application icon)
