    Connecting nokia 3200 with Vista

I'm using a CA-42 cable to connect my nokia 3200 to my PC. My OS is Vista Home Premium. I've installed the latest version of nokia PC suite. But what I really don't understand is the fact that it used to work, and suddenly stopped working. Windows won't recognise the phone, it tries to install the proper software (which should already be installed) and fails, over and over. Not even nokia pc suite recognises the phone.

I suspect there's a problem with the cable. It never worked properly because it doesn't stay firmly attached to the phone, and it keeps connecting and disconnecting. The last time I was able to use it I had to blow on the phone's cable drive and on the cable. But this time nothing seems to work, and I really need to connect the phone to my PC. Supposing it has nothing to do with the cable's issue, is there a driver that could fix this for me? Thanks.
