    HI,

I don't think through java, you can control lights...is any JSR provides that facility.Might be a java expert should answer this..
Please don't duplicate the same issue.

    Hi,
As far as i know the only light functionality is setting the lights ON and OFF using the setLights method.

    Thanks

    Hi snoopyAU,

to have direct control over camera Flash, you should use FlashControl available in JSR 234. Note that this control, as the whole javax.microedition.amms.control.camera package, is not currently implemented/available on Nokia devices (you can check here for more details).

Is that mean I can't use the flash whatsoever. So I don't understand why there is such a FlashControl class but is not useable.

    Hi snoopyAU,

this is the current situation on Nokia devices, so we can only wait for the ones that will implement the camera part of AMMS.

    Re: ligth sensitivity

Hi I'm very interested in this discussion because I would like to create something that use flash of my N78..But now I understand that in this moment isn't possible to develop this application due to JSR 234 that aren't completly supported. That's right? And if it is, do you now how many times do we have to wait until Nokia will do that?
Thank you very much! This is a great Forum! (you'll say me that it's the official Forum so it must be great )

Hi elciopa, and welcome to Forum Nokia discussion boards!

You are correct, the camera packages of AMMS API are not currently supported. Unfortunately I cannot comment on future products or roadmaps.

    best regards
