    What it means
    - Only the communicating parties are able to understand the contents of the transferred information.
    In WAP
    - Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) Class 1
    Encryption of mobile networks such as GSM

    Criterion
    - Authentication/ Authorisation
    What it means
    - The communicating parties can be sure that the other party is who they claim to be
    In WAP
    - WTLS Classes 2 and 3
    - WAP Identity Module (WIM) in the mobile terminal
    - Ability to build application-level security such as passwords/user names
    - PIN codes of mobile phones

    - Integrity
    What it means
    - The receiving party can be sure that the received information is exactly what the other party originally sent.

    - WTLS Class 1
    - Digital signature using WMLScript Crypto Library and WIM

    Criterion
    - Non-repudiation
    What it means
    - Once someone has received a message, the sender cannot deny that they sent it.

    Note: Nokia 6310 and 6510 support only WTLS Class 1 and 2.
