    No audio on RTSP streaming with MMAPI

    Hello!

    I have the following environment:

    - A rtsp server: in that server there are some movies and audio files located.
    - N77

    I have developed a tool to receive a rtsp stream with my N77.

    I succeed on play the video, but audio is not played. I have accessed the same file with real Player and all is ok, video and audio, fot that I can say that the video/audio codecs are compliante with the handset.

    Could anyone of you why audio is not played with my player?

    This is my code:

    private String url = "rtsp://89.140.51.114:54545/4400.3gp";

    player = Manager.createPlayer(url);
    player.addPlayerListener(listener);
    player.realize();
    player.prefetch();
    vic = (VideoControl)player.getControl("VideoControl");
    voc = (VolumeControl) player.getControl("VolumeControl");
    voc.setLevel(100);
    voc.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO, screen);
    voc.setDisplaySize(screen.ancho(), screen.altura());
    voc.setVisible(true);
    player.start();

    Do I forget something?

    Thanks!

    Have you tried with some other streams (like this one, which is in FInnish though rtsp://ra.yle.fi/yle24/video/uusin_mobile.rm ... I hope the strema still exists...)

    Thanks for your reply, but I have found the solution.

    The problem is that RealPlayer does not mind the phone mode, and Player created by MMAPI, yes.
    I mean, if you have your phone on Meeting or silent mode, player created by Java will not play audio, however, Real Player will.

    Thanks for your support.

    Yes, sure, look for this file: MIDP_Mobile_Media_API_Developers_Guide_v2_0_en.pdf

    And you will find there all the information that you need, if you need something else, let me know.

    Hi All,

    This is suresh. I am trying the streaming the audio songs in Mobile(Nokia series 40). I used the Darwin streaming server and RTSP protocal. This will be working in desktop browser and Mobile browser for Nokia E-61 and N-95(Nokia series 60) mobiles. But its not working in 40 Series mobiles(Nokia 5300 and 6131). I cant understand what is going on here. I tried to set the streaming settings but its not supporting.

    What i am expecting the doubts here. 1. if which mobiles are having the real player, that mobile is supporting to the real streaming? or any mobile supported to streaming?. and
    2. In Nokia forum i posted the query there i got the information 40 series 3rd edition fp2 devices will be supported to streaming. I tried this way also but i didn't get.
    3. I am struggling for this past one weak onwards.

    Please Kindly help me, if any body having the knowledge about this.

    Regards,
    Suresh A
