    problem with static variable

    hi,

    i m having following problem n application:

    i declared static variable i in application , incremented it then i
    exit application. After relaunching application it gives valuee of static variable the incremented one,and not 0. what is the problem ?

    Which device ar you talking about? How much time you have between the exit and relaunch? Does it make any difference if you turn off the phone in between?

    i m working on SunJava WTK 2.5 , default color phone, midp2.0 .

    i waited about 10 to 15 minuutes for relaunching.

    yes it works fine if i turn off emulator n then again start application.

    this problem will not appear on actual device. On WTK when you close application, it does not exit the same way as we think on devices.
