    How to sign midlet in j2me using Operator or Manufacturer in j2me

    I am developing application for my nokia 6300 in that i have to get imei number and for that the midlet should be operator or manufacture signed, so how to sign midlet in j2me using Operator or Manufacturer in j2me.
    Please repply who knows it as soon as possible.

    Hi there,

    The very first step in doing a manufecturer/ operator signing is getting the certificate from them. if you are making the s/w exclusively fro thme and they want it to be signed by their certificate then only they will provide their certificat to you.

    In general, you will newer get the certificate from operators/manufacturers. You will just get your application signed with that certficate.
    In any case, this means that you hav to be a close partner with that company (and in Nokia's cases the MIDlet beeds to be Nokia branded or developed by Nokia) - so this is not possible in your case. Unfortunately.
