    Unhappy When 'abld build gcce udeb', 'Convert Files...' takes forever.

    When 'abld build gcce udeb', 'Convert Files...' takes forever.
    'abld build gcce urel' does the same.
    I was trying to build 'HelloWorldBasic'.
    Meanwhile, 'abld build winscw udeb' succeeds.

    SDK version is S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1. (zip file was 'S60_3rd_Edition_SDK_Feature_Pack_2_v1_1_en.zip')
    And I use Carbide C++ v1.3.
    Active Perl version is 5.6.1 build 635.

    What's wrong?

    (Of course I can use Carbide C++ IDE, but I want to know what the problem is.)

    I think I've found the source of the problem.
    'epoc' (the emulator) was running when I ran 'abld builf gcce udeb'.
    When I retried abld without 'epoc' running (to log some more of the command window output), 'Convert Files...' step passed. (and there appeared another build problems... but I'm not interested in them, for now.) And when I tried again with 'epoc' running(but without any phone program - including the program I was building - is running on it), the problem reappeared.
    Maybe a file lock is related? I don't know...

    Emulator locks all resource files, that is the cause. So executables (.exe, .dll) can be re-compiled if the emulator is running (but the given executable is not used), but resource files can not.

    Thank you. Now it's clear.
    It might had been better if the build process showed some warning or failed with appropriate error message. Waiting forever without any message is not so helpful...
