    creating a view with underlines

    Hi

    I would like to create a view that is similar
    to the sms text message (the view with the underlines).
    Does any one know or can suggest how to implement it?

    Regards,
    Noam

    just write some code in ur container draw function for drawing lines.

    DrawLine() function may be usefull.

    Thanks

    Noam.
    yes it is possible , CRichText represents "Text with rich formatting", (a class that is derived from CCoeControl).

    u can use it if ur aplication needs some rich text formatting.

    otherwise u can simply draw using ur base class functionality.

    Thanks

    Unhappy Re: creating a view with underlines

    Hi

    I'm trying to draw lines inside the rich text editor.
    The rich text editor is overlapping the lines that are drwan
    using the container gc.

    Re: creating a view with underlines

    Hi

    Here I draw the lines

    void CEditor1Container::Draw( const TRect& aRect ) const
    {
    // [[[ begin generated region: do not modify [Generated Contents]
    CWindowGc& gc = SystemGc();
    gc.Clear( aRect );

    // ]]] end generated region [Generated Contents]

    if ( iBackground )
    {
    MAknsSkinInstance* skin = AknsUtils::SkinInstance();
    if ( !AknsDrawUtils::Background( skin, iBackground, this, gc, aRect) )
    {
    // The background was not drawn….
    }
    }

    TPoint a(3, 30);
    TPoint b(230, 30);
    gc.DrawLine(a, b);

    TPoint a1(3, 60);
    TPoint b1(230, 60);
    gc.DrawLine(a1, b1);

    TPoint a2(3, 90);
    TPoint b2(230, 90);
    gc.DrawLine(a2, b2);

    }

    but my rich text editor overlaps the lines that were drwan.

    basically my goal is to show the lines inside the rich text editor.
