    [Update] Unity v0.2 (game)

    Greetings,

    http://jouni.miettunen.googlepages.com/unity

Unity was originally invented in Japan 1985 as "Chain Shot!" by Kuniaki Moribe. After that it has spread all over the world with names such as SameGame, TumeGame, KomeGame, MameGame, DebaGame, TileFall, Cabeem, MaciGame, GD-BMD etc.

The idea is to clear the whole playing area by removing tiles in groups. The more tiles you remove, the more points you get. The trick is that the scoring system is exponential.

    Version History

Beta Version 0.2, release date 2008-09-02

    • Fixed point calculations
    • Easier levels, longer playing time
    • Some documentation (you're reading it)

    Todo

    • Better Look and Feel
    • Save and load high score
    • Integration with Sensor API, of course

    Enjoy,

    --jouni

Very addictive. My high score is now 9 level and about 21000 points.

Make a few games more and then you can make application bundle called JOM's Game Collection. :-)

Somewhere could be also high score server, so I could compare my scores to other's...

    Thanx,

I have a few good games on todo list, just waiting for a moment of peace. Got some not-so-good ones, too, like the one I made last night

High score server is VERY HIGH on my wishlist, but alas cannot do anything about it... Don't have server, don't have money to sponsor one for free. Nokia game platforms (N-Gage Arena and SNAP) don't integrate with python, I'm afraid

...actually I haven't even checked, whether PyS60 could be connected to N-Gage or SNAP. Has anyone tried

    Cheers,

    Hi !

@aaaaapo : You seem to be good at games. I can only go till Level 4

@Jouni : Very nice game. Love to play it. Except its getting a bit hard for me after level 4. Any Cheat Codes to jump level ?

Love this game mate so thanx for the sis file.

I think a simple scoreboard for each phone as an ini file maybe so you can upload it somewhere? Also maybe an undo last move would be nice

Animation, of course it's possible !!! Not difficult, but requires time. Added on ToDo list, which I just created Pop-off animation, shift down animation and shift left animation. WOuld take a lot of time

Hiscore already planned in detail, just missing coding. Actually next on my todo, but a bit boring so didn't have energy to write it last night. Will try again...

Upload is difficult, since I miss the place where to upload . Next best thing is possibility to share between phones - but that would require a recognizer, which can be done only with C++. But both are on todo list, schedule as "sometime".

That's a good idea, I'm missing it myself! Thanx
