    USSD vs SS

    Hello,

What is the exact difference between a USSD string and a SS string?

SS features as call waiting can be accessed from the phone menu.
But they can as well be activated by sending some SS string as *43# for call waiting. In this case, what is the difference with a USSD string? Is it handled as a USSD one or not?
When we send the string *43#, is it considered as a USSD string or a SS one?

    Thanks.

    Re: USSD vs SS

*43# is SS, AFAIK USSD are operator specific services, and SS services are well defined ones. One easy way on checking if the command is SS, is to check if it has its own AT command..
