HelloWorld does not appear on emulator

    Hi,
I just installed S-60-3rd SDK FP1 for the first time.
Then I followed exactly the steps as described in the "Building an Application for the Emulator from the Command Line Interface" in the help menu.
The "adbl build" command runs without error. It returns "Nothing to do".
Then, if y run the emulator with epoc I can see "App.mgr." and "Go to" applications in the installed folder but the "HelloWorl" application is not present.

Thanks a lot for any suggestion...

Re: HelloWorld does not appear on emulator

    Welcome to the Forum!!

Well have you installed perl. Environment details would help here in understanding what could be going wrong.
if you have installed carbide, then have you done 'configure environment for winscw commandline' ?
Also its better to try 'abld build winscw udeb' if you want to build it for emulator.

Thumbs up Re: HelloWorld does not appear on emulator

Thanks a lot for your response. It's now ok .

    1) Active Perl 5.6 was installed but I do not find Environment details...
    2) Carbide was installed. I hadn't done 'configure environment for winscw commandline'. I did it.
    3) I also ran 'abld build winscw udeb' as suggested.

And now I get Helloworld in emulator.

Now I'm going to learn and try carbide so maybe see you later ;-)

Actually by environment details I had meant to be sure of your installations and drives they are installed on, their versions, etc to see if there could be problem elsewhere.

But glad that the hint provided helped anyway.

    Good Luck!
