    MMS Settings API

    Hi,

I would like to set automatic MMS download off. This is described in CMmsSettings::SetAutomaticDownload(). Unfortunately this API is not part of the S60 3rd Edition SDK.

Is there another way to achieve this? Probably with CRepository (what Uid)?

    thanks,
    fogo

    Re: MMS Settings API

if it is not included in the SDK, then it is propably non-public API. Thus you could open a Technical support case, to get our internal experts to look into the use case, and then if the technical expert identifies that there is S60 C++ API for the use case, then you could try opening a API partnering case for accessing it.

Anyway, you should have good business case to back you up, othervise the partnering may fail..

And, I actually do not understand why would you want to change users own settings from your application, could you just instruct them to disable the feature manually ?

    Re: MMS Settings API

I agree that this is not an usual behavior and could generally be solved over user instructions.
I think our business case should be good enough...

However, thank you for the information about the API partnering case. I didn't notice of this solution. I thought it would be probably possible with Binary Access Kit.

Binary Access Kit can be onöly accessed via Symbian partnering, thus Forum Nokia can not help on that issue.
