Re: How to replace default SMS Editor

Before platform security you may have succeeded in that via 'eclipsing', providing files with matching signature (path, filename, UID-s) on c: or e:.
With platform security it is not possible any more, you would get "Component is built in" or similar problems when installing (simple copy does not work any more). Practically the only possible thing is providing an update for the built-in components, but you have to be Nokia (vendorid, signature) for doing that.

Re: How to replace default SMS Editor

    Thanks a lot Wizard_hu_
That means we can not replace the existing UI MTM , although we can install own custom MTM . correct ?

so as of now for opening My own Editor in place of default SMS editor , at present i m trying to Intercept the Keys when Messaging application is in focus and when user tries to Press Key to Open the Editor i m trying to intercept that key event and launching own editor but again Framework is Passing the Key event to Messaging app and eventually default editor opened .

Is there way to Trap the Keys in background but Not passing those keys to the Framework ?

    Thanks again.
