    closing message window programatically

    Hi,
I have developed an application that will integrate itself with the message functionality.

When I open the message window and press end key I want to exit/close from the message window.

I have used User::Exit() and AppViewUI::Exit() both in the handle command and handle event but the problem is that pressing red key will take the user to the mobile desktop but in the background the message window still opened and not closed totally.

My requirement is to close the message window permanently not to go into background.

Can anybody tell me the command that I have to use in my code so that the message window closed permanently and not go into background.

    Thanks
    J

In your AppUi, implement "HandleWsEventL" comes from CCoeAppUi class and check for the event "KAknUidValueEndKeyCloseEvent". On satisfying this condition you can close your messaging application which will override default behavior of the system key handling.
