    MMS and PackData error!!

    Hi to all.

When trying to sending MMS Message and the SIM card doesn't support that option(e.g: Limitation by the Provider) then you got error(after several times that the phone trying to sending):

    "Packet Data connection not available"

There is any option to cache/Avoid that Message ??

    Thanks,

    Dvir.

    Re: MMS and PackData error!!

    Hi

To avoid the "new SMS arrived" message I delete the SMS from inbox (immediately after processing the SMS). Probably this works also for MMS in outbox when it was not sent for some reason.

I would try to get an error code out of the CMsvOperation received when CMmsClientMtm::SendL().

I'm not sure if this approach is best or even if it works, but I would give it a try.

Not sure if you even get different error messages when service isn't supported or when you just are in an uncovered network area. If you don't get different error codes I would not delete any message from outbox.

    Re: MMS and PackData error!!

    Thanks fogo99,but..

I don't thinks that is the problem.

The problem is with Packet connection, and it's not deal
    with CMsvOperation.

I am doing a Debug On the Device.
And added a BreakPoint on Switch Case (to got what MTM does.)
And when the Error come up, the program still running and
doesn't stop, so I think may be it's because when trying to sending MMS message it's using Also with GPRS connection
and when the message cannot be sended the Error that I got
Actually came from GPRS error Connection and not from
    CMsvOperation.

So do you think that you had any solution for my problem ??

    Thanks,

    Dvir.

I thought the error comes form MTM and that MTM returns an error even when it comes form the data-connection.

I think it should be possible to get a general error for this case. But I am not sure if it is accessible over the public API nor the Symbian partner API.
