    mime type problems

    : From within a wml page if I use the
    : line:
    :
    : it
    : goes to the page but if I use the line :
    : : href="http://localhost:8080/mike.wml"/>
    :
    : I get MIME type
    : "application/octet-stream" is not
    : supported.

    Hi Mike,

    You need to update your server with the correct mime types for
    WAP.

    For JavaWebServer and JSWDK-1.0x do the following:
    Find the mime.properties file and open it in an editor.
    Add the following lines:
    text/vnd.wap.wml
    text/vnd.wap.wmls

    Restart your server and try again.

    For other servers you'll have to consult the documentation that
    covers adding mime types.

    I think the MIME type for WMLScript files is: text/vnd.wap.wmlscript
