    6600 Signing

    Hi,

Does 6600 support signed midlets. Are there any issues of unable to install signed ones on 6600.. remember reading some where..

Could any one suggest exact certificates to be used for signing 6600, n73 and n70 devices. I am hoping just one certificate should take care of all.. however, open to know even if they need different ones.

Would be very happy to see some one who are already doing this currently and share their experience.

    Regards,

Verisign or Thawte. They are quite widely available on Nokia phones, although there are some phone model and regional differencies (I do not have any moe details), so they might not get you 100% coverage.

Oh Nice, this means, if we sign with Verisign or Thawte the application should be installable as trusted.

I'd go with Verisign, I have a feeling it's a bit more universal than Thawte. But both should be OK.

Verisign is the answer. I have an app that we sign using a verising certificate and it installs on both 6600 and the N series.

Just an offtopic, but since the two great Nokia experts are here, I wish to request for Developer certificates to be made available as soon as possible which(if I understand correct) could make the life of Students like me easier.

    Cheers!
