    Can I open another application from first working application??

    Hello friends,
    I want to open new application with the help of incoming message notification. Is this possible?? Which event should I use so that I will get open? Where should I write code so that I can able to open my new application.
    Please help me so that I can build this application???
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ashfaque.

    What you ask for is doable and all you have to do is break the problem is basic blocks (run application in background, read received SMS, start application, ... eventually BIO messaging) and then look for relevant examples and code snippets in the Wiki (as an addition to the official SDK and Forum Nokia resources)

    Hi,
    My assumption is you want an application which is listening for the incoming sms event and you want to lauch another application on that event. If so I would suggest you to go through the following link regarding receiving notification for incoming sms
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/SMS_Utilities_API

    And coming to opening your application on that event you could use
    following link you could use your own uid for lauching your application
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph..._specified_URL

    Regards,
    Sriky

    I would not go with any API which comes under SDK API pluging when it is doable with other approaches. And moreover SDK API plugin comes with S60 3rd edition onwards.

    I would go with basic MTM APIs. What you want to do is inherit from "MMsvSessionObserver" class and implement its pure virtual function "HandleSessionEventL()". On receiving notification of change in Messaging Server Session you can launch desired application.

    You should better look into the following Wiki articles:

    * SMS Operations

    * SMS Receiver

    * How to launch an application with its UID
