    Audio Capture

Hi, what's the default parameters (rate, nBits, encoding) in audio capture? I have used rate = 8000 Hz, PCM and 8 bits (capture://audio?encoding=pcm&rate=8000&bits=8). To transform the byte stream (ByteArrayOutputStream.toByteArray()) into a integer stream i'm using the conventional cast (audioData[i] = (int) output[i]), but signal are not leaving anything similar to a speech signal. Anybody can help me? Thanks.

    Re: Audio Capture

    Hi,

You can read more about audio capture and full-duplex audio in this wiki link.

Coming to your query, you got to elaborate it on what api you are using and whether the PCM input stream which you are trying to convert to integer stream is okay or not.But the rate and encoding parameters seems to be correct. The type casting has to work in this case, check whether the original signal itself is corrupted.
