    Google Map Api...

    Hello,

    Excuse my english, I'm french

    I just want to know if you can help me, I have got a probleme with the google map api presented here:
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...oogle_Maps_API

    I create an image 100*100px, and with the api I calcul the new coordonate of the image at the right, but there is a gap between the images...

    I want to do:
    |---|---|
    | 1 | 2 |
    |---|---|
    | 3 | 4 |
    |---|---|

    Maybe, precision of calcul? or I have forgot something?
    Watch here:

    Someone have an idea.

    Thx...

    Re: Google Map Api...

    I think I saw another post from you about the same topic. Please do not create multiple threads about the same topic. That just makes the whole discusion boards quite confusing.

    Anyhow, from the image you provided it was impossible to say how wide the gaps were (the map images you had in the image were two totally different tiles...). So how wide the gaps are?

    (No, I have not tested the wiki example myself, so I do not know what the problem is exactly)

    Hi Twub,

    the adjust function is ported from the (JavaScript) original one, linked in the same Wiki article, and available here:

    http://www.polyarc.us/adjust.js

    I have not detailed infos about its precision, but if you want to contribute with code improvements and/or fixes, you're welcome!

    Hi Twub,

    unfortunately I have not more detailed infos about the adjust function or, more generally, about scrolling Google Static maps. You can try searching a bit, to look for some other possible implementations or documents (I've tried, but with no results).

    Re: Google Map Api...

    No, that one is a JavaScript (not Java ME) piece of code (and the adjust function you find on J2ME Google Maps API Wiki page is simply a porting of that one).

    Re: Google Map Api...

    Code:
    gAddress = gmap.geocodeAddress("Leicester Square, London")
    # To retrive an image use the method retrieveStaticImage.
    gImage = gmap.retrieveStaticImage(320, 240, 51.510605, -0.130728, 8, "png32")
    # To get a upper view off the image, delta_x = 100 and delta_y = 0, same zoom=8.
    tMap = gmap.adjust(gAddress[0],gAddress[1],100,0,8)
    # Retrieve the image again.
    gImage = gmap.retrieveStaticImage(320, 240, tMap[1], tMap[0], 8, "png32")
    Here, Whyyy he add delta_x = 100!!! Size of the image is 320x240!!! he is going to have a gap of 100Px and not 320px!! Or I don't understand?

    Thx
