j2me Code Signing-Verisign has unique ROOT Certificate?
The question concerns Code Signing for mobile application,j2me.(Sun Java Signing Digital ID)
i Have noticed that my phone has ONLY ONE from VeriSign ROOT certificate that concerns code signing.
In particular it is a "Verisign Class 3 Code Signing Certificate...".
Issuer: Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority
Valid From: 03-12-2001
Valid Untill: 02-12-2011
FingerPrint: 2C:07:5D:c9 ...
Serial Number: 71 78 4C EB CF ...
(A)If i will buy a code signing certificate from Verisign will be compatible with my Handset ROOT Certificate?(Nokia 6500 Slide)
(B)In all latest Handsets (i know that this is Vendor Specific, lets say for NOKIA,SE,HTC) IN PRACTICE there is
only ONE ROOT code signing Certificate from Verisign?
(C)Supposing that (B) is valid for more of the handsets that exist in the market(at least for latest NOKIA,SE,HTC's).
So if i am going to launch a new game for j2me (i do not want to be self signed), the only thing that i should do is
to check all the handsets that i am going to deploy the game, IF the they have the particular Certificate?
